Guitar and Spanish StudentI joined Kriya in 2018 and it's been a splendid journey. I was looking for a Spanish teacher and a friend of mine recommended Ginelle. It was a delight to have someone with such enthusiasm towards her work, teach me. I started with Spanish and then also joined guitar with her. Ginelle is gifted with talents and it's so amazing to see her share it so selflessly with others. Seeing my interest in drawing, she also guided me to create some amazing pieces of art, that were appreciated by all. Today, Ginelle is not only my teacher, but also a great friend!

French and Guitar StudentI started class at Kriya as a eleven year old, eager to learn French. We began with simple pronunciations of letters and words and somewhere along the months, listening to other students playing their instruments (who came before and after my class), gave me a strong desire to learn music. I then began with guitar, an instrument that held fascination for me ever since I first heard it as a four year old. My journey has been beautiful, filled with laughter, love, learning and new people. I have lost, forgotten and been left behind, but I found my way back, thanks to this beautiful human, who has always been there for me with a big smile on her face, Ginelle Teacher!

Fleda Fernandes (Belly Dance Student)I've been a student with Kriya for a long time now. A few years ago, I took up to learn an art I was the most challenged at and terrible in, something I always ran away from. But today I can gladly say that dancing and to be specific- Belly dancing is something I enjoy the most. The kind of patience and understanding Ginelle has with a student like me is totally commendable. The flexibility of timing helps people like me with full time jobs and studies pursue things we have been putting away for the longest time. I can totally vouch for the fact that learning an art or skill is like 'the Friday night' of our monotonous routines. The teacher- student bond is more like friendship and the classes are more like a looking- forward- to-fun time.

ParentBumblebee bumblebee bumblebee...wasp! Bluebottle bluebottle bluebottle...squash! This was one of the many first things that made me fall in love with Ginelle's ways of teaching music and connecting with her students. My son Riaan, aged 11, has been with Ginelle for over 3 years now and plays the Violin and is also preparing for his Trinity College London Music exams - Theory and Practical. His love for music is only increasing and I must attribute that to Ginelle and her ways. Thank you Ginelle...Thank you Kriya...looking forward to many more musical years.

ParentHi! I am Adrian and a Photographer by profession. I had learned the Tabla previously and was looking to learn a new percussion. I chose the Djembe and contacted Ginelle for classes. Ginelle was very kind to hear me out and understood exactly why I wanted to learn this instrument. She was very flexible with dates and timings as per my availability. She did not force or dictate any long term commitment towards the course. Her teaching style is very great as its not rigid and she will adjust according to your pace of learning. Its been really fun to learn under the guidance of Ginelle and I'm sure everyone else who does join will feel the same.

ParentDevinaa Joined Kriya in May 2018. She started with the Soprano Recorder. After a year, Ginelle teacher felt that Devinaa would be amazing with the Djembe and introduced her to it and there, the magic begins! She took to the Djembe like fish to water. It's Ginelle teacher's farsightedness and experience which paved a beautiful way for Devinaa. She enjoys playing the Djembe and looks forward to the interactive sessions with Ginelle teacher. Thank you so much dear teacher for being her 'Guru' and helping mould her so beautifully in her musical journey. All the best!

StudentMy daughter Aalia is 7 years old and has always shown her interest in learning music. She is learning violin from Ginelle Teacher at Kriya. When we started, we didn't know which instrument my daughter would be interested in. Ginelle gave her a lot of options, we tried few instruments and ultimately my daughter started developing her interest in violin. Ginelle is an extremely knowledgeable teacher and is very passionate about teaching children, her teaching techniques and songs selected are age appropriate and makes it fun learning for kids.

ParentI had been looking for a drum tutor for my son Ronan since a year. But since he is too young (5years old), I was finding it difficult to find someone to teach him. I was referred to Ginelle by another parent and I’m glad Ginelle agreed to train Ronan. What impressed me about Ginelle is that she has learnt many different instruments (39 to be precise) starting from the guitar which she learnt when she was a kid. Her kind, patient and warm nature has made Ronan so comfortable that he is always eager to go for his drum classes. She is a wonderful teacher and passionate about music. She has structured the lessons as per Ronan’s age. She is also flexible with her timings. I’m sure with her help, Ronan will be able to become a fine drummer. Thank you Ginelle for passing on your talent to all your students.

StudentI had read a profile of Kriya and ever since, I was always curious to know who this talented person was. I enrolled myself for spanish class in June 2019 with Ginelle and I must say that it has been a wonderful experience. She makes the classes so very interesting with vocabulary, grammar, conversations, songs, art, music, crosswords, prayers in spanish and this learning has been an amazing experience. I consider myself lucky and blessed that I got to learn something new in my life which I will cherish in my heart always.

ParentWhen I was a kid I did not have the money to purchase a musical instrument. Later when I was gifted one, there were no proper resources to learn or pay the expensive fees. As my daughter Nicole was growing up, I found she had some hidden talent, as she scribbled onto papers and created beautiful drawings. When I then asked her if she would like to get guided by a teacher, she said yes immediately as she was not getting the correct guidance and has always been keen to learn. Well at that point of time we her parents decided that she should learn what I couldn't! Ginelle gave her the opening and opportunity and I feel that Nicole will flourish in the field and will work on her dreams and aspirations. She has learnt quick and a lot in art and music at Kriya Waldorf so far. One day, I will fulfill my dreams and will learn from my daughter.
